the verticals are 2x4s that are spaced off from the tub so that the lifter arm can pass. There is lattice on both sides so when you look through it at an angle (the neighbor's back door) the hatching is in the way, you can kind of see it in the area covering the garage. I also have a 4x8 panel that I might be cutting to 4x4 to double and put next to the stairs to the right of this area.
