Maybe now it will vent better, more on that in a bit. A lot of things have been done since the last update.

Everything is out of [livejournal.com profile] creeksideway and I need to stop back and finish installing a screen now that I have a spline roller, and check for a folding chair in the furnace room, but I need to get the key from Dave first.

Thursday my dad and [livejournal.com profile] tour_spot came in to town and hauled a full load from the condo garage. Also the cable was to be hooked up. I took off early from work to be there during the install window. 3-5pm. At 5:10pm I called to see what was up. Somehow I had been rescheduled for the 20th, even though I was never notified and I had gotten the automated reminder the day before for Thursday. After 1 hour and 4 minutes, mostly on hold, I had a rescheduled appointment for Friday from 5-7 so I wouldn't have to take off work. Then it was off to Menards and Home Despot to look at ridge vents and the like, and to get some dinner at Panera.

Friday I got home at 5 to wait for the cable guy. Called at 7:10 to see where they were, and he showed up at 9. Of course I didn't really even need to be there because I already had all the equipment and it just needed connections up on the pole an in the box on the house. Although he did give me a bunch of coax cable, compression connecters and splitters.

Saturday [livejournal.com profile] tour_spot and I went over to get the last of the stuff from the garage and the back porch at [livejournal.com profile] creeksideway and unloaded it at the house. On the way we stopped at BloodBath and got a new shower curtain and the curved rod, very nice. My dad also got the replacement garage door opener installed, he got it because it was broken and he replaced the gears after replacing the broken one for a friend in Neenah. This one has the reversing feature the other one was missing. The other one would keep going down until it had reached the end of the stroke even if you stopped it and started it again, or if there was something in the way. So, the new one is much better. Then it was a stop to Culver's for lunch. after her nap[livejournal.com profile] tour_spot went up on the roof to start removing the ridge cap shingles. Luckily they came off easy and were re-usable so I can return the bundle that I picked up incase they were needed. I then joined her to finish it off and start the cutting. There is just something about taking the circular saw to the roof of ones house. (pictures). That went easy and so did the attachment of the roof vent. We ran out of the longer roofing nails about 3/4 of the way through putting the cap shingles back on. So I went and took down the light fixture above the garage as the wiring has been done to replace it with ones that just light up the driveway and back yard and not the whole block. When my dad came back with more nails we finished off the ridge vent.

Sunday was mostly cleaning up the garage and getting all of my dad's tools back in the van. We also got the cabinet hanger rails in the kitchen trimmed so that the end panels will fit, and got the remainder of the cook-top wall cabinets hung, and the base end panels on. After my dad and [livejournal.com profile] tour_spot left for Neenah, I put on the end caps for the cook-top counter and trimmed them with the router. I then fit it back on the cabinets and screwed it down and set in the cook-top, still needs silicone around the base but I had no applicator for it as my dad took it back. After attaching and checking all of the joints I put the caps and grates on. Damn is that a big burner.

[livejournal.com profile] alyska and I then made another trip to Home Despot for a caulk-gun, swag hooks, coax compression crimper, and a window screen spline roller. After some Applebees I hung up the paper globe lamps above the TV, found the remotes and started hooking up my computers. I got all of the cat5 punched down in the box and all of the cables managed, need to take pictures of that. I also started painting the frame of the medicine cabinet so I can get that back in the bathroom.

Tonight is a run to finish up the screen install at [livejournal.com profile] creeksideway and some more unpacking and organizing at the house.
